About Pat Witter

......Baby Photos

image The most important event for me in 2006 was becoming a grandmother.  Lily Beth was born on October 2, 2006 to Lisa Beth Witter and Neil Jeffery in Austin, Texas.  Little did I know how her birth would impact my life and how I look at life through a camera lens.  A whole new world was discovered, and I'm embracing it with open eyes and arms! My baby photographs reflect the same love for great images that my canine photography does for dogs. Let me share some of my baby photographs of my darling Lily and you can judge for yourself.

image The 2nd most important event for me since moving to Austin was the birth of our grandson, Grey Neilson Jeffery, who was born on February 6, 2008.  Moving up to the Hill Country so that we could share in our grandchildren's steps through life was TOTALY WORTH IT.  My dad got to share his last year with his Great-Grandchildren, and we got to visit more as a family - wouldn't trade that for anything.

image The most important event for our family in 2007 was the marriage of our youngest daughter Lisa Beth to Neil Jeffery.  It took place on June 2, 2007 in Emma Long Park, Austin, Texas.  Lisa and Neil planned the whole ceremony and reception themselves, with a little help from their friends and family.  It was a fantastic day, and photographs were taken.  A link will be established when they are all together for everyone to enjoy.

One my newest techniques that I am most excited about is my Masters Collection. Using this technique, I transfer your photograph into a piece of fine art. Each portrait is individually hand brushed in Corel Painter X resulting in a beautiful giclee' print with all the richness of a watercolor or an oil painting. Your portrait becomes a unique piece of art that has special meaning for you and your loved ones.

Why should you make Pat Witter your first choice for your photos? Anyone with a camera can take a picture. But if you want that picture to capture those special moments in time when you are at your best, then Pat Witter is for you. Not everyone is able to recognize the difference between a good moment and a bad; good lighting and bad, or even a good picture and a bad one. But if you can, then you will appreciate having your pictures taken by Pat Witter. How many times have you looked at your breed magazine and wondered "why did they use that photograph"?

As a professional canine photographer, I use my experience to know not only how to take the best quality pictures , but I also know precisely when to snap the shutter so that I capture you and your dog at your best. And, as a long time exhibitor and dog owner, I know the difference between when you and your dog look your best, and when you don't; whether you're relaxing outside the ring, gaiting and stacking your dog; making the most of your 2 minutes when the judge is getting ready to make his final decision, or showcasing your dog before the final decision in Best in Show. Whether in the conformation ring, working your dog at home, the breed show ring, agility or obedience, or relaxing at home or at the kennel, I feel I am able to seize the opportunity and capture that one perfect moment in time when you and your dog are at your best. My job isn't finished until I have "that perfect shot". And I will not take a photograph just because. I have an eye for design and knowledge of how to frame and capture that special moment in time.

Because perception is uniquely personal, there are always differences of opinion on what makes a good photograph. However, when you see a GREAT photograph, you know it and people do agree. My goal is to use my knowledge of dogs, my artist's eye, and my photographic training to bring to you the most beautiful image you have ever seen of your dog. You will KNOW IT'S GREAT when you see it.
